As a choreographer, Joseph strives to cultivate impactful artistic experiences through genuine expositions of humanity. His choreography is notable for its authenticity, athleticism, and technicality with a grounded and humanistic approach. Joseph’s movement aesthetic derives from his extensive training in martial arts, hip-hop, jazz, contemporary, ballet, and modern dance techniques, formulating technically lush movement that is expressive and nuanced in variation.
Joseph has been integral in the creation of original roles within the working repertoire of The Metropolitan Opera Ballet, ODC/Dance, Amy Seiwert’s Imagery, and LED Boise. His work has been formally presented at the NYC Blueprint Dance Festival, DanceChance, and the College of DuPage Choreography Showcase and Competition, winning 2nd place in the competition. Most recently, Joseph has completed a commission to debut in May 2019 with Chicago’s Hot Crowd Dance, as well as a creative residency with DanceWorks Chicago.
